The Stations of the Cross will be prayed Fridays during Lent at 7:00pm in Church. Good Friday Stations will be at 7:30 pm. All are encouraged this Lenten season to carve out a few extra minutes each Tuesday during Lent to be still before God in Adoration. We want to ensure that there is presence with the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament during Adoration. Quietly sit in His presence and listen to His quiet voice.
In this time of pandemic and challenge, Lent is a season to remember Who is with us through the deserts of life. Fr. Michael Mullan will offer two brief Lenten reflections with time for silence between. What is the purpose of “deserts” in our lives? Then, where can we lean more on God in our lives? You are invited to be there in person or virtually. Our time of reflection and prayer will last one hour.
Set time aside to grow more and explore your faith in the comfort of your home. Participate in this virtual session each Wednesday in March at 7:00 pm with other parish members. Hear their witness and reflection on the Sunday Gospel in a practical, faithful and interactive way. Allow the death and resurrection of Christ to transform you this Season of Lent. Presented on 3/3, 3/10, 3/17 and 3/24 at 7 pm via Zoom.
When referring to the followers of Jesus, our Gospel writers often speak of two groups: the Twelve and the Women. The Twelve referring of course to the twelve Jewish men chosen by Jesus to be his apostles, symbolic of the twelve tribes of Israel. The Women refer to the female disciples including His own mother who also followed Jesus, welcoming him into their homes, financing his ministry, and often teaching the Twelve through their acts of faithfulness and love. Just as Jesus predicted, most of the Twelve abandoned him at his death (John 16:32). But the women remained by his side—through his death, burial, and resurrection. Prior to this presentation, Mike McCarthy from our CCO Men’s Group will share his 3-minute testimony. Questions: Contact Dana Westby at danawestby@hotmail.com. Click Headline for Zoom Link.
